Solar power training news: New energy solution receives funding
People with solar power training may soon find themselves installing a new kind of energy-saving device.
One company has raised enough money to finalise the development of a solar panel that may make it easier for home owners to make savings in this area.
According to CNET News, GreenRay Solar's AC Solar Module will produce electricity that combines with household alternating current and voltage.
This means that the solar panels will put out a direct current before an inverter, usually stored in a property's basement, turns it into an alternating current.
Mile Russell, chief executive officer of GreenRay, said that although some people may be able to install them on their own, it may be better to call upon the skills of a trained electrician.
"The do-it-yourself moniker is more of a long-term objective. You could imagine them at a Home Depot and they could be installed for an extra fee," he said.
Business secretary Lord Mandelson recently predicted that the UK's low-carbon sector could grow by more than four per cent every 12 months for the next six years.
