Solar power training news: Brits 'misinformed about solar panels'
People in the UK have been advised that calling upon the help of an expert with solar power training can be very beneficial – even when the sun is not shining.
Heat my Home, the renewable energy advisor, claims that many homeowners are currently misinformed about the devices.
This is because they incorrectly think they are powered by sunlight when in fact, they run off solar radiation, Electric.co.uk reports.
Therefore, concerns that the UK may not get enough sunshine for the panels to be effective are unwarranted and many people are missing out on the chance to reduce their energy bills, the group explains.
Stuart Lovatt, from Heat my Home, adds that another benefit of solar panels is their longevity, as they can last up to 30 years.
One building that is set to benefit from solar power is Campion School in Bugbrooke, as it is installing 13 panels on its roofs as part of a £45,000 renewable energy project, the Northampton Chronicle and Echo reported.
