Plumbing training 'may benefit property investors'

Plumbing training could be of benefit to those thinking of investing in property, who have been advised that now is a "very good time" to enter the market.

Timothy Lambert, head of consulting at property investment consultancy Ducalian, explained that the current economic conditions mean that "it is still the best time to invest since the early 1990s".

People with plumbing training could find that they are able to undertake renovation work on properties they have bought, meaning they can avoid having to pay a third party to perform such tasks for them.

Mr Lambert urged potential investors to ensure that they carry out due diligence and thorough market research, noting that not every property or area will offer a good return on investment, which is the case with any other point in the property lifecycle.

The industry expert made his comments following the publication of figures from the Land Registry yesterday, which suggested that there was a modest increase in monthly house prices in England and Wales.
