Government unveils renewable energy training jobs strategy
There could be more jobs for people with renewable energy training as the government has unveiled a new strategy.
In order to ensure that the transition to a more environmentally friendly way of life is one that creates savings and job opportunities, the Low Carbon Industrial Strategy has been issued.
This follows on from Building Britain's Future: New Industry, New Jobs and identifies areas of potential job creation for those on renewable energy training courses.
Business secretary Lord Mandelson said: "Low-carbon and environmental goods and services are already worth £3 trillion to the global economy and in the UK employ nearly 900,000 directly and through the supply chain."
He then predicted that this sector could grow by more than four per cent every 12 months for the nest six years.
In related news, the Confederation of British Industry has noted that the current expansion of the renewable electricity sector that is currently taking place is likely to provide plenty of employment opportunities for people with renewable energy or electrician training.
