Expert: Plumbing training provides a job for life
People with plumbing training are likely to find that they have a "job for life", according to one industry expert.
Writing for the Telegraph, James Cann, founder and chief executive of Hamilton Bradshaw, claims that many graduates are currently struggling to find work when they finish university because of the current economic downturn.
However, those who have completed a plumbing training course may find that they are entering an industry where their skills will always be in demand.
Mr Cann notes that even if people decide to enrol on a plumbing training course later on in life, "despite the increasing number of people entering the profession it is safe to say employment will be guaranteed".
This is because trade jobs are not normally outsourced, he adds.
This idea was supported in a recent article in the London Evening Standard, which claimed that people with plumbing training have a "clearly defined purpose" during the recession.
