Electrician training 'may benefit landlords'

Electrician training could help reduce costs for landlords, who may soon see an increase in market activity if one industry analyst's comments are anything to go by.

James Davis, founder and chief executive of online estate agent upad, noted that it is no longer considered "taboo" to rent a property.

He suggested that numerous factors have caused a shift in property market activity.

"A successful working culture, getting married later and an increase in population has meant that the demand for rental properties is going to be increasing," Mr Davis added.

His comments follow the publication of the FindaProperty.com Rental Index, which showed that the average rent rose from £823 per month in June to £825 in July.

Landlords keen to keep their costs down could find that taking electrician training course means they are able to carry out maintenance on their properties and avoid hiring a third party to undertake the work for them.
