Eco electricity projects 'may give work to those with renewable energy training'
The Confederation of British Industry (CBI) has noted that there is a "massive expansion" in renewable electricity taking place, something that may be good news to those on renewable energy courses.
According to the organisation, CBI companies are "queuing up" to deliver renewable electricity and are looking to take advantage of the business opportunities the industry presents.
However, the group also believes that the government is being too ambitious with its expectations for wind energy.
John Cridland, deputy director general at the CBI, explained that that to hit targets for the future, the right moves need to be made now.
"The question is whether the government's target has an unintended consequence which is perverse for the overall expansion of renewables in what it does without expecting," he said.
The Department of Energy and Climate Change recently reported that offshore wind farms near the UK have the potential to provide an extra 25GW of new electricity generation.
