Power Sector – Network Operations

9,000 New Engineers needed between now and 2020

With the demand for engineers forecasted to be significant during the next decade, our Network Operations Centre at Corby boasts some of the best facilities for engineering training anywhere within the UK or indeed Europe.

Fully energised to 11,000 Volts and spanning a number of real world scenarios including external wood pole lines, we provide tangible training scenarios for up to twelve engineering candidates at any one time.

With many different types of equipment and substation housings to demonstrate day to day operating conditions, our training is fully accredited and suitable for both Private Network Owners and DNO’s alike.

The courses we offer are detailed in the navigation pane to the left.  Click on the courses for more details or contact us to find out how you or your people can keep up to date with the core skills and competencies needed to work within the sector.

If for some reason you do not see the course you require, get in touch with our Power Team who will be happy to discuss your requirements.

Finding the next generation of Authorised Persons (AP’s) and Senior Authorised Persons (SAP’s) will be a significant challenge for all – let MET help with our best in class training dedicated to this sector.
