Course Outline
8 weeks of practical & theory based training. Monday to Thursday 9am – 4pm,Friday 9am - 4 pm. 4 Weeks. Managed work placement in your local area (minimum of 2 days).

• BPEC (Level 3) Essential electrics
• 1st fix – Working with plaster & dry lining sockets
• Advanced craft practical sessions
• Final radial power circuits
• Final ring power circuits
• Final lighting circuit – Junction box
• Spur circuits
• Energy efficient lighting circuits
• S.W.A Power circuits – external buildings
• BPEC (Level 3) Part P electrics – Defined scope
• BPEC (Level 3) Part P electrics – Full scope
• City & Guilds (2382-10) – 17th edition wiring regulations BS 7671
• City & Guilds (2377 -12) Portable Appliance testing
• Re-wires
• Ring mains – e.g. sockets, fuse spurs
• Radial circuits – e.g. showers
• Lighting circuits
• Repair & maintenance
• Undertake portable appliance testing (P.A.T)
• Exchange/update consumer units etc
• City & Guilds (2392-10) Level 2 Certificate in fundamental inspection, testing and initial verification
• Developed to prepare candidates for the inspection, testing & certification of electrical installations
