Ambition Energy Success

Ambition Energy Success Ambition: Energy is a government backed training course in conjunction with GWINTO, British Gas and MET-UK. Long-term unemployed people were trained on NVQ level 2 Domestic Natural Gas: Installation and Maintenance. This was achieved over an intensive 27-week programme with work placement offered by British Gas.

The 8th December saw a presentation with attendees including Leader of RMBC; Cllr Roger Stone, Andy Smith of British Gas, and Ray Cox of Centrica. This was to celebrate the success of the trainees and the programme.

All trainees have successfully achieved their qualification and have been employed by BG. Congratulations to all involved!

“20 trainees have successfully completed the NVQ 2 at Met-UK.

The British Gas training manager at Killingworth; Phil Barnes is pleased with the standard of trainees he received from the College; they are all enthusiastic and confident due to the excellent training. They are now looking forward to the Brand training provided by British Gas.

I have enjoyed the working relationship with Met College and would like to thank all the staff involved for the hard work they put into the development of the Ambition Energy trainees.
