Family Action (formerly Family Welfare Association) is delighted to announce a new fund – The Horizons Education Fund - which aims to support lone parents in education. The Horizons Education Fund, funded by Barclaycard, aims to support lone parents who have the motivation, determination and ability to improve their employment prospects. Applicants can be of any age, and they can help you if you have been unemployed long term or recently, have been made redundant, if you work less than 8hrs per week, or are recieving any other benefits i.e incapacity. Ace do not fund all course fees, just part of it and the person must have a definate job offer that is anticipated to last 13 weeks or more.
